After more than 25 years at the top of ZAUNERGROUP, we bid farewell to Franz Maurer on his well-deserved retirement.

His journey with Manfred Zauner began in 1988 - a time when business was conducted over landline phones and fax machines and service specifications were written by hand. Yet even then, trust, reliability and personal connection with clients were the foundation of success. Together, Franz Maurer and Manfred Zauner have built a strong professional and personal network, which has shaped ZAUNERGROUP since its founding in 1998. From day one, Franz Maurer has been a driving force behind the company’s growth. With energy, foresight and optimism, he has played a crucial role in establishing ZAUNERGROUP as one of the leading companies in industrial plant construction in Austria.

His commitment to sustainability and safety deserves special recognition.

Franz Maurer was one of the first to recognize the importance of these principles and set the course for ZAUNERGROUP in these areas. Today, these principles remain at the heart of everything we do.

At the company, ‘Safety First’ is more than just a slogan - it is a principle that has always been a top priority and extends far beyond workplace safety. Franz Maurer also took responsibility for sustainability. Responsibility for nature and the environment and, above all, for people and employees. His foresighted behavior and implementation of measures have made ZAUNERGROUP a pioneer in these areas. The company has already received several awards for this.

We would like to thank Franz Maurer for our time together, his tireless commitment and the many successes we have celebrated together!
